Product Description
FireWise® New Coat High Temp Spray Paint is a high-performance, heat-resistant coating designed for surfaces exposed to extreme temperatures. Formulated with a durable, silicone-based technology, it delivers long-lasting protection against rust, corrosion, and surface degradation while maintaining a consistent, low-sheen finish that resists blistering, peeling, and fading under heat stress.
Suitable for application on cast iron, steel, and stainless steel, this spray paint provides excellent adhesion and even coverage for a smooth, professional finish. Its self-priming formula allows for direct application, making it ideal for restoring and protecting fireplaces, wood heaters, BBQs, flues, and other heat-exposed metal surfaces.
Designed for both maintenance and restoration, FireWise® New Coat High Temp Spray Paint enhances appearance while helping to extend the life and performance of metal surfaces by forming a durable barrier against heat, oxidation, and environmental wear.
How to Use
PREPARATION: Clean surface thoroughly. Remove all traces of grease, oil, dirt and rust. Sand previously painted surfaces lightly. Wipe with mineral turps and allow to dry.
BEFORE SPRAYING: Cover all areas to protect from spray mist. Shake can vigorously for one minute before spraying and occasionally during use.
APPLICATION: Choose a dry, well ventilated area. Do not apply when temperature is below 15oC, above 30oC, or in high humidity. For optimum appearance and rust protection hold can upright, approximately 20cm from surface and apply a pre-wetting mist coat, followed by a full even coat. Repeat if necessary. Avoid spraying too close to the surface or too thick a coat.
DRY TIME: Touch dry in 3 hours. Handle in 12 hours at temperatures between 15oC and 25oC. Recoat after 16 hours. Longer drying time needed in cold or damp/humid weather. Allow 24 hours between drying and curing.
CURING: It is important that the article be cured to achieve hard-dry conditions. Raise heat gradually. Fumes and smoke may be emitted during this time.
CLEAN UP: Clean the valve after use to prevent blocking. Turn the can upside down and press the valve until only gas emerges. Clean overspray while still wet with mineral turps.
COVERAGE: Approx. 1 to 1.2m2
